YOUR PILATES OUTFIT CHECKLIST
Your Pilates outfit should feel just like the session: supportive, intentional and made to move. Whether you’re on the mat or the reformer, the goal is the same. Flow without distractions.
For Baisden, versatility is everything. Her workouts shift daily, so her wardrobe does too. “I gravitate toward things that let me move between moments,” she says. “Something that works as a workout basic, but also a stylistic one.”
Comfort starts with fit, but the real test is how it functions. Choose pieces that feel secure without squeezing, soft without losing structure. You want ease through every stretch, fold and hold without needing to adjust.
Stick with breathable fabrics that help manage heat as your body warms up. Skip the zips, drawstrings or bulky seams. They tend to get in the way, especially during floor work or time on the reformer. And don’t forget grip socks. They keep you steady on the moving platform, adding both traction and hygiene.
